Hello! My name is Kaden Marshall. I am a recent graduate of McNeese State University, where I earned my bachelor’s degree in mass communication with a concentration in integrated digital media. Along with this, I completed minors in psychology, digital and social media creation, and communication studies.
I grew up in Jennings, Louisiana. It is a medium sized town where most everyone knows one another. Throughout my life, I’ve always struggled with the idea of finding what it is I wanted to do once I entered the working world. In my third year of high school, however, I finally gained some semblance of what direction I wanted to move in. The curriculum required that I take a speech class, and the prospect of this terrified me. I came to find though, that I gained a lot of fulfillment from writing out and communicating my ideas clearly and effectively for an audience. It also helped that my teacher and my classmates all commented that I had a voice that was very fitting for speaking. This encouragement led me to the field of mass communications.
The field of mass communications has given me a great platform to be able to express my ideas. This comes in many forms such as public speaking, media writing and production, photography, graphic design, and videography. I love being able to work to communicate my ideas through these mediums so that others can be informed or entertained.
